Meet the TEAM

Elena LaMadrid, Founder & CPT

Elena, originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, discovered her passion for classical ballet at the age of 4. At 16, she moved to Houston, Texas, to dance and train at the Houston Ballet, where Pilates was integrated into her training regimen. Pilates proved instrumental in stabilizing her flexibility and building muscular strength, enhancing her ballet performance. After her training, she danced professionally with Nashville Ballet and earned her Pilates Instructor certification through Balanced Body under the guidance of David Gensheimer.

After two seasons with Nashville Ballet, Elena shifted her focus towards Physical Therapy, but soon realized her true passion lay in bringing Pilates to a wider audience. This led to the opening of Studio Pilates Nashville in April 2021, located in the heart of The Nations. Demonstrating her commitment to expanding access to Pilates, she opened a second studio in East Nashville in 2023.

Elena takes an athletic approach to Pilates, focusing on making it accessible to everyone. She trains a diverse clientele, including professional athletes, dancers, and individuals recovering from injuries. Elena believes in the empowering nature of Pilates, advocating that it can significantly enhance both physical and mental well-being. Her studios are built on the principle of creating a supportive community where people can connect and thrive through movement.
